The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Customs, has launched the 'Gold List of Food Products'. The initiative aims to expedite the release of food products with an excellent track record through the emirate's border crossings, where listed companies give their products priority in pre-release after repeatedly ensuring their repeated compliance with the approved standards and technical regulations through laboratory tests. Thus, these products can enter the local market directly, reducing waiting time, customs clearance, and logistical and operational costs for importers, without compromising food safety standards.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) requires several criteria to be included in the Gold List, including the conformity of five consecutive consignments of the product with the approved standards and technical regulations, the attachment of a health certificate approved by the country of origin, and the pre-submission of the import request through the advanced platform for trade and logistics services "Taleb" 24 hours before the arrival of the shipment. It is also sufficient to pre-check the documents without the need for an in-kind examination or sampling, which ensures that the procedures are speeded up.
If any violation is detected on a Gold listed product, such as non-conformity or receiving food notifications against it, it will be immediately removed from the list and subject to the usual control procedures, to ensure food safety as a top priority. Contact us for more details.
