Decree no.33 of 2023 promulgating the Gulf Technical Regulation concerned with the Food Additives Permitted for use in Food Stuffs as a National Technical Regulation

Bahrain has announced its adoption of GSO 2500:2022 and its amendment GSO 2500:2022/amd-1:2023. 


Additionally, if the additive is not mentioned in GSO 2500:2022 and its amendment, the Decree permits the referral to the international standards Codex General Standard For Food additives Codex Stan 192 1995, Commission Regulation (EU) No 1129 2011/ Of 11 November 2011 Amending Annex lI To Regulation (EU) 1333 2008/ Of The European Parliament And Of The Council By Establishing A Union List Of Food Additives, and Class Names and International Numbering System For Food Additives CAC/GL 361989.
