SFDA Circular: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has Expanded the List of Prohibited Substances in Cosmetics

This SFDA circular announces the addition of several substances to the list of ingredients prohibited for use in cosmetic products. Addressed to manufacturers, importers, and warehouse managers of cosmetic products, the circular states that the decision is based on the SFDA's efforts to review and evaluate cosmetic ingredients and is in accordance with Article 4 of the Cosmetic Products Law. 


The new prohibition is effective as of the date the circular was issued. The document also includes a table listing the specific chemical names, CAS numbers, and EC numbers of the newly prohibited substances. Contact us for more details.
