GSO 12/DS/ 2156:2022  Cosmetic Products – Natural Henna

This Gulf standard concerned with the requirement   of   natural   henna powder which gives a brown color or brown to orange or brown to red (chestnut), with exception of this standard henna gives black color.

Purpose:

Updating the standard clauses and removing inconsistencies with regulation GSO 1943.

Main Changes:

Added under requirements: 

4.1 The materials included in the composition shall be in accordance with the Gulf Technical Regulations GSO 1943 “Cosmetic Products – Safety Requirements of Cosmetic and Personal Care Products".

4.2 The limits of heavy metals and contaminates materials shall be in accordance with the Gulf Technical Regulations GSO 1943 “Cosmetic Products – Safety Requirements of Cosmetic and Personal Care Products".

4.4 It shall be free from pathogenic bacteria.

4.5 The bacterial count shall be in accordance with the Gulf Technical Regulations GSO 1943 “Cosmetic Products – Safety Requirements of Cosmetic and Personal Care Products".

4.13 It shall be free from foreign dyes and colorant agents.
