Emirates Quality Mark (EQM) is the quality mark of the United Arab Emirates. It is regulated & implemented by the Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA), now known as the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), which serves as a federal authority in the UAE.

In accordance with current regulations, EQM certification is mandatory for all regulated products. In the absence of a valid EQM certificate, imported products may be held at customs and delayed until certification is obtained. Furthermore, any products that enter the market without EQM approval may be subject to recall.

Regulated Product Categories that Mandatory to be Registered Under EQM:

- Bottled Natural Mineral Water & Bottled Drinking Water.
- Fruit juices and Nectars.
- Juices with milk.
- Flavored artificial drink.
- Artificial Fruit Juice Powder.
- Fruit Drink.
- Guava Nectar.
- Fresh fruit juices (Unpasteurized).

- Yoghurt.
- Flavored Yoghurt.
- Flavored Milk.
- Laban.
- Laban Drink.
- Flavored Laban.
- Pasteurized Camel Milk.
- Goat Milk.

It should be noted that, in addition to mandatory EQM requirements, some product categories may fall under voluntary EQM registration schemes, subject to regulatory applicability. These may include, but are not limited to, flavored and enhanced water products, sparkling water, pasteurized and ultra-high temperature (UHT) milk, chilled poultry and processed meat products (e.g., mortadella), wheat flour, non-alcoholic carbonated beverages, and infant and specialized nutritional formulas.
