Decision No 1 of 2026 'Oman Decrees Mandatory Quality Mark for Bottled & Mineral Water'

The Omani Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has issued Administrative Decision No. 1 of 2026, making it mandatory for all manufacturers, importers, and distributors of bottled drinking water and natural mineral water to obtain the Omani Quality Mark. Tied to standards OS GSO 1025 and OS GSO 987, the decree officially went into effect on March 15, 2026.

Businesses operating in the Sultanate have until July 30, 2026, to utilize the granted corrective period to regularize existing market stock and align with the approved quality licensing frameworks.
