This guide is concerned with the registration procedure for food supplements. The guide expands on the scope of oral food supplements to include supplements in the shape of capsules and tablets. This guide does not apply to:
- Raw materials or concentrates used in the production of food supplements.
- Food supplements not consumed orally such as injections, inhalation devices, suppositories, topical use, etc.
- Supplements that have ingredients and concentrations exceeding the permissible limits as stated in the standards and technical regulations approved by the food sector.
- Food supplements with medical claims or containing pharmaceutical ingredients.
