The SFDA has issued a circular instructing cosmetic manufacturers, importers, and warehouse managers to immediately stop using labels or slogans that imply products are intended for markets outside Saudi Arabia (e.g., "made for a specific region"). This directive aims to enforce compliance with national regulations ( SFDA.CO/GSO 2528), which prohibit misleading geographic claims on cosmetic products. The SFDA emphasized that non-compliant items will be denied market approval, stressing the need for compliance to labeling standards to avoid consumer confusion and ensure alignment with Saudi market requirements.
