This decree is concerned with the quality and sanitary safety of preserved and semi-preserved vegetable products marketed and aims essentially at: 
- Fixing the names of table olives according to the method of processing; 
- Providing for the method of presentation as well as the thresholds of defects allowed by type and category of olives; 

- Classifying olives according to their degree of ripeness; 
- Fixing the physico-chemical characteristics of the brine of table olives; 
- Providing for the specific information to be included in the labeling.

This decree is considered with the quality and health safety of canned and semi-preserved vegetable products marketed essentially aims to: 

- Define tomato concentrate and canned tomato; 
- Provide names for tomato concentrate taking into account the dry matter and names for canned tomatoes taking into account the mode of presentation; 
- Determine the physicochemical characteristics of the tomato paste; 
- Provide the covering media used as well as the ingredients authorized for canned tomatoes; 
- Provide for the specific mentions to be included in the labelling of the aforementioned products.
