Saudi Ports Authority Extends Transit Goods Storage Fee Exemption Period to 15 Days at Selected Ports

An official circular issued by the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce regarding a directive from the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) to temporarily increase the storage fee exemption period for transit goods up to 15 days. Effective for a period of two months starting May 5, 2026 , this exemption applies to general cargo, Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) cargo, and other goods, while explicitly excluding containers.

The updated regulation is applicable across four specific ports: King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port, and NEOM Port. 

Enforcement date is 05/05/2026.
